"Little things do indeed make a difference": Invite the Mosquitoes Suck Tour to your school!
Some of the toughest challenges facing the world today isn't war, climate change, or the current economic environment.
Some of the world biggest problems, though, are found in surprisingly small packages. Malaria is one of them. Over one million African children - one every thirty seconds - die of the disease every year, simply due to exposure to something many consider to be tiny, harmless nuisances: mosquitoes. Malaria, long eradicated from most of the world’s developed countries, continues to wreak havoc on economies, families, and individuals in the Global South.
If you believe in taking action to "take a bite out of Malaria", invite the Mosquitoes Suck Tour to your school. For more information, visit
DontBiteMe.ca and contact Fred Yin at

SRI at The Red Ribbon Gala
Mathew Baptista
and Director Ashley Bondad at the Red Ribbon GalaThis spring, Student Reach International was present at Guelph’s annual Red Ribbon Gala, a collaborative fundraiser held by Masai For Africa, Bracelet of Hope and the AIDS Committee of Guelph. Proceeds from the affair go towards the three organizations as well as the Masai Centre in Guelph. The Masai Centre, founded in 2005, is an HIV treatment centre that provides integrated care for patients in community, and was the first of its kind to open in Ontario. The success of this fundraiser is also helping to fund OHAfrica’s Tsepong Clinic, an initiative supported by both the Bracelet of Hope and SRI’s Box of Hope. The Tsepong Clinic provides HIV/AIDS care, testing, and antiretroviral treatment in the area of Leribe, Lesotho. For more information on the Box of Hope and how you or your school can get involved, visit:
