How we use donations

At Student Reach, we firmly believe that students will play an integral role in overcoming global poverty. We are committed to inspiring, assisting, and supporting students in their humanitarian ambitions.

Your contribution goes directly towards providing students with humanitarian opportunities. As a Canadian non-profit organization, there are no individuals that profit from your donations. All donations go into the working operations of SRI and the services we provide to Canadian youth. Student Reach is committed to being efficient and using minimal dollars for administrative costs.

Student Reach provides students with various humanitarian opportunities. By running workshops for students, students are introduced to the humanities. We provide students with information through various outlets and encourage them to find what they have an interest in. We provide students with campaigns that they can manage as a student group. These campaigns are set up in a way that encourages students to become leaders. By providing the information and easing the process, we allow students to jump on an idea when they are most excited about it. When students run campaigns, we ensure that they receive whatever support is necessary.
The dollars donated to Student Reach International go towards students here in Canada. The exciting impact of your dollars is actually what students in Canada achieve. Students multiply the dollars donated to Student Reach by adding their time and compassion. By holding fundraisers, campaigns, and projects, students make very significant contributions to international initiatives.

IMUMA Project

When you make a donation for the IMUMA Project, the cheque must be made out to Student Reach International (Memo should read "IMUMA"). From that cheque, 96% goes directly to the IMUMA Orphan and Vulnerable Children Centre. The remaining dollars are used for administrative costs (including the international wire transfer costs.) In the case that your fundraising activities included selling dogtag IMUMA necklaces, 96% of the profit will be send directly to IMUMA.

Box of Hope Campaign

When you make a donation for the Box of Hope Campaign, the cheque must be payable to Masai for Africa. The current agreement with the Bracelet of Hope Campaign is that Student Reach International's expenses related to the Box of Hope are paid for by Masai for Africa. These expenses average less than 4% of the revenue, which is an exemplary level of efficiency for such a large scale fundraising effort.
