Tomorrow, Student reach International and the Upper Grand District School Board will formally launch Reach Lesotho at Centennial C.V.I., Guelph C.V.I. and John F. Ross C.V.I. in Guelph for students beginning Grades 10 or 11.

Reach Lesotho is a comprehensive leadership and academic program designed by SRI. The two-year long program aims to develop Canadian students into global citizens while raising awareness about HIV/AIDS and the Tsepong clinic in Lesotho, Africa.

In October of 2009, a short list of twenty-four students will be selected to participate in the Reach Lesotho leadership development camp run by SRI’s leadership sector called Stand Up. From the twenty-four students, twelve will be selected to participate in an eighteen-month academic program that concludes with a three-week visit to Africa. A video documentary will be developed through the experience and used as a marketing tool for the Bracelet of Hope Campaign.
