GUELPH, ON (May 24, 2010) - MEDIA ADVISORY - Student Reach International co-founder and University of Guelph student Abid Virani will officially launch our new "I Have Hope" initiative Tuesday evening live on Rogers TV Guelph.
The "I Have Hope" initiative is a synthesis of many of Student Reach International's existing projects, including Box of Hope and Reach Lesotho, our two flagship initiatives.
Under the new "I Have Hope" banner, Student Reach International will be fanning out across Canada to educate high school and post-secondary students about youth action, being a global citizen and what they can do to make a different here at home and abroad. To date, Student Reach International has raised in excess of $50,000 for key initiatives such as the Tsepong Clinic and Free The Children, and we are working hard to keep up the momentum going into the 2010-2011 school year.
Abid will be appearing on Rogers TV Guelph's Talk Local Tuesday, May 25 at 8 PM - 9 PM. In Guelph, tune into Rogers Cable Channel 20.

Brittany Martyn has been appointed Chair of the Student Reach International Board of Directors, effectively immediately.
This appointment is on top of Brittany's continued responsibility as Director of Leadership and Co-Director of the Reach Lesotho program. Having been with Student Reach International since 2007, Brittany has tremendous background in all of SRI's projects and long-term objectives, and will lead our team well.
